In this introductory course you will learn how to make book structures dating as far back as the second century. Over the five days of the course we will learn a variety of paper decorating techniques that you will later use in the books that you will make. The book structures will include limp paper bindings, a Coptic binding and a hard cover case binding among others. We will also be exploring several common book and paper repair techniques. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.
